Outbuildings are for all people and all uses. It’s a little bit of extra space away from the house where you can create, host, play, build, propagate…you name it!
Ancillary Accommodation
Ancillary accommodation is defined as secondary to and dependent on the main dwelling house. Insulated outbuildings can be used all year round making them easy to adapt to a multiple number of uses.
Work
Do you practice yoga? need space for gym equipment? an outbuilding can give you the much needed extra space away from the house.
Do you like to build and create? art studios and workshops are commonly requested too. Consider the aspect and fenestration, particularly for art and photography studios to maximise the quality of light in your workspace. With our design software we can help with that!
Home offices are another important use of an oak outbuilding. Set up your business or have a dedicated space to work away from the office. You can shut the door and know that the washing machine won’t start a spin cycle or the children can’t pounce on you in the middle of an important video call!
Rest
Simply use the space to unwind. Have comfy chairs, a coffee machine and a well stocked book shelf to make the most of the quiet space you have created with an oak outbuilding in your garden.
Play
What about a playroom? Our particular favourite. It’s a wonderful space to have fun, go mad, make a mess and just shut the door when you’ve finished. The chaos is contained and you can go back to the sanctuary of a relatively toy free house!
You could even use your outbuilding as a spare bedroom for guests, or even paid guests with the right Planning permissions in place.
