Responsibly sourced timber

We only use responsibly sourced timber from trusted FSC or PEFC certified suppliers, never compromising on quality, sustainability, or provenance. Every frame we create is designed to stand the test of time and is fully recyclable at end of life, though with a little care, that day will be a very long way off.

Powered by wind, sun and hands

Our workshop and office run entirely on renewable energy, wind and solar, supplied by Ecotricity in Stroud, Gloucestershire. Every frame is created with zero fossil fuels and a whole lot of heart.

We’ve also been running fully electric vehicles for over eight years, powered by the same clean energy.

Low waste and local focus

We reuse and recycle waste wood wherever we can and are always looking for smarter, lower-impact ways to work — both in the workshop and the office. Even our office supplies come from The Green Stationery Company, a brilliant eco business right on our doorstep.

Garages for electric cars

As electric vehicle users, we champion renewable energy and clean air. We’ll support your building design to include solar panels, battery storage and EV charging. We can also recommend a trusted local installer to advise on orientation, shading, roof pitch and cabling—ensuring your project is ready from the start.

Timber Specification

We only use FSC or PEFC-certified timber, prioritising UK-grown wood where suitable. Softwood studwork is C24 grade and our outbuilding cladding is available in feather-edged or waney-edged profiles, in oak or larch, to suit your preferred aesthetic and building requirements. None requires further chemical treatment.

Installation – How we do it

If you’re within an hour’s distance of our Malmesbury workshop in Wiltshire, we can install the frames for you. Alternatively, we can supply them as ready-to-assemble kits for your builder or carpenter to install, complete with full drawings, numbered components and clear installation guidance. We’re always happy to help — just ask for a quote.
