Porches
Elevate Your Entrance with an Oak Framed Porch
Your front door says more about your home than you think. It’s the first impression. The place where guests pause, parcels are dropped, and memories begin. But doors without a shelter, structure or presence, can be lost — forgotten in the façade. An oak porch transforms that.
More than just a covering, it frames your home with timeless craftsmanship. It signals warmth, permanence, and pride of place. It whispers Welcome before you’ve even opened the door. Whether you’re returning after a long day or inviting loved ones in, a Made in Oak porch creates a sense of arrival that feels utterly right.

Design and Customisation
Crafted from the finest oak by skilled hands, each of our porches is as unique as the home it graces.
Imagine stepping out without fumbling for keys in the rain. Picture muddy boots tucked beneath the bench, logs stacked neatly by the door, or a quiet moment on your front step beneath sheltering beams. It’s practical. It’s characterful. It’s yours.
With optional oak TG&V profile air dried oak sarkingboard, to hide the underside of the roof tiles when looking up, we put as much design consideration into our porches as we do with anything else. A photo example of oak sarkingboard on the left.
We manufacture and deliver oak frame kits with detailed drawings to make installation straightforward. If you’re within an hour of Malmesbury, we can fit the frame too.
Head to our gallery for more inspiration or send us your own plans because once you’ve imagined it, you won’t want to be without it.

Renewable Integration
We design oak-framed buildings with renewable integration in mind—supporting EV charging, solar panels, and battery storage. From roof pitch to orientation, we help plan your build for energy efficiency, and can recommend trusted local installers to ensure your project supports a greener future without compromising on quality or character.

Timber Specification
We use FSC or PEFC-certified timber, prioritising UK-grown wood where suitable. Oak frames include robust posts, beams, and braces. Softwood studwork is C24 grade, treated for durability. Cladding is available in feather-edged or waney-edged profiles, in oak or larch, to suit your preferred aesthetic and building requirements.

Installation – How we do it
If you’re within an hour of our Malmesbury workshop in Wiltshire, we can install the frames for you. Alternatively, we can supply them as ready-to-assemble kits for your builder or carpenter to install, complete with full drawings, numbered components, and clear installation guidance. We’re always happy to help — just ask for a quote.
